Canberra's outstanding dance band ranges in size from 5 piece to 8 piece and features the captivating voice and breathtaking looks of singer and entertainer Angela Lount. The best players available come together with Angela to form the nucleus of keyboards (Paul Dal Broi), bass (James Luke), drums (Chris Thwaite) and trumpet / flugel horn (Dan McLean). The band can also feature a front-line horn section (sax, trumpet, trombone), as well as guitar and percussion.
Their repertoire focuses around classic rock and pop dance hits from 50's rock and roll, through the 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's, from such artists as Tina Turner, Dionne Warwick, Gloria Gaynor, Joe Cocker, Thelma Houston, Shania Twain, Stevie Wonder, Dianna Ross, The Commitments, Bette Midler, Michael Jackson, Elvis, Van Morrison and a host of others.
Then there's the smooth and cool sets, including the best Sinatra hits, Buble, Ella, Sarah, Peggy Lee and more.
The Funky Fedoras are hugely popular at conference dinners, corporate awards nights and government functions and have played at all of the leading venues in Canberra including Hyatt, National Convention Centre, National Museum, Parliament House, Old Parliament House, Rydges and many more.
